Welcome to OT FOR TOTS! I am excited that you are interested in our services. My name is STEPHANIE A. MONTERO, OTR and I am the owner and I am a registered occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience! I earned my degree in occupational therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1995. I strive to provide quality services to the children to establish functional independence. Throughout the years, I have worked with special needs children in the local school system, home health care, and early childhood intervention. I have specialized training in sensory processing disorder, developmental delays, and self-help skills (feeding and dressing) handwriting intervention.
Hi! My name is Kamie, I’m a bilingual COTA, I graduated three years ago and have been providing therapy to the El Paso pediatric population ever since. I have been working at OT For Tots since October 2013. I am pursuing for the future, becoming an OTR and specializing as a Certified Autism Specialist to continue to help people of all ages live, learn, work, and play. My goal is to impact a child's life, provide emotional support, motivate to reach their goal, and help live life to the fullest.
Sandra Gutierrez, COTA/L, BS. I’m going on 3 years as a certified occupational therapy assistant. I have 12-years of pediatric experience, 10 years in early childhood intervention and two years of experience in special education in the school districts. I currently work at OT For TOTS part-time and work full-time as an academic clinical director at PIMA Medical Institute.
My name is Jamie Machuca. I graduated from Pima Medical Institute in May of 2015 as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. I have been working at OT For Tots since 2016. Working with the pediatric population is very gratifying to know I am part of the equation to my patients, making improvements in their daily lives. I knew at an early age I wanted to help people, as I was always working and playing with my first cousin, who has Cerebral Palsy; she has always been a big reason for my success. Therefore, I always say it is a beautiful thing when a passion and a career collide!
My name is Jessica Duran. I am a bilingual COTA and graduated as an occupational therapy assistant almost 4 years ago. I have been mainly working with special needs kids in the home health setting as well as outpatient clinic ever since. I have been working at OT for Tots since February 2017. I am kinesio tape trained for over a year now and I have basic ABA (Applied behavior analysis) training to assist and teach patient and families how to properly deal with aggressive behaviors common in the autistic children. My goal is to work hand in hand with the child and his/her family implementing HEP (home exercise program) to promote patient’s maximum potential and provide the best quality of life possible.
